Frequently Asked Questions
How should I prepare for an Empowerment pole class?
For your pole class at Empowerment, you won't need much! Bring water, wear comfortable fitness clothes (shorts are reccomended), and be sure to NOT have any lotion on your body.
Is there an age requirement to take an Empowerment class?
You must be at least 18 years of age to take an Empowerment class.
Do I need to already be fit to start taking Empowerment?
No. Pole fitness is a full body workout in itself so you will build the strength needed to do pole tricks over time!
Can men take an Empowerment class?
Yes! Anyone who is 18+ is welcome to take classes at Empowerment.
How long does it take to advance in pole fitness classes?
Each class level has strength and skill milestones that students need to achieve before being moved up to the next class. So the time it takes to advance can vary from person to person. We encourage our studens to listen to their bodies to avoid injury and take their time with learning new pole skills.
Why is it called Empowerment?
Empowerment by definition is "the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights." While our classes are fun and a great workout, as you progress your body gets pushed beyond anything you ever thought it was capable of and you learn to appreciate it for what you can do instead of what you can't. You learn to love and appreciate yourself as well as your classmates as you grow together. Empowerment changes the way you look at yourself and others. Everyone gets something a little different from Empowerment, but this is the underlying theme we see happen over and over again.
